Caption: Veere [prov. of Zeeland] Late-Gothic townhall of the old town of Veere, on the isle of Walcheren, north of Middelburg and Vlissingen. Construction began in 1474 by the Flemish master-builder Evert Spoorwater and the building was finished in 1477. Sculptures and other ornaments were also created by Flemish artists from Mechelen.
