The province of Flevoland
Note:Flevoland became the 12th province of the Netherlands in 1986. This province consists of three polders: Noordoostpolder (reclaimed in 1942), Oostelijk Flevoland (reclaimed in 1957) and Zuidelijk Flevoland (reclaimed in 1968). So there will be but a few old places found. Some of the places mentioned below were located on the former isles of Urk and Schokland.
